ShiftLink is a mobile + web marketplace that matches rural businesses (farms, food processors, care homes, small factories, seasonal tourism) with urban and peri-urban workers willing to take short, paid shifts within a defined travel radius. The core problem isn’t “awareness,” it’s logistics and trust: rural employers can’t reliably staff peaks, and urban workers can’t justify long commutes without clear pay, timing, and certainty. ShiftLink standardizes shift postings, pay transparency, and simple onboarding. It includes commute-aware matching (carpool, bus, or employer pickup), lightweight verification (ID + work eligibility), and payout rails. It’s not trying to solve structural inequality; it’s a practical staffing tool that reduces wasted hours, canceled shifts, and last-minute hiring chaos. Start with one region and a few job categories where shift work is common and churn is high, then expand.
