ShiftMeld
ShiftMeld is a web + mobile nursing scheduling app focused on the ugliest, most frequent problem: last-minute holes in the schedule. Instead of trying to replace your entire scheduling stack, it plugs into what hospitals already use (via file import/API where available) and runs a rules-based “fill engine” that prioritizes fairness, skills/units, overtime limits, and contract rules. Nurses get a mobile feed of eligible open shifts with one-tap accept/decline, automatic conflict checks, and clear pay/bonus visibility. Managers get a live coverage map, escalation paths (float pool, per-diem, agency), and audit-ready logs showing why a shift was offered to specific staff. It includes lightweight fatigue guardrails (rest windows, consecutive shifts) and a transparent fairness score to reduce accusations of favoritism. This is not magic: it won’t fix chronic understaffing, but it will reduce time-to-fill and scheduling chaos.
