ShiftPool

ShiftPool is a mobile + web app (traditional + AI) that matches commuters whose schedules change weekly—hospital staff, warehouse teams, retail, hospitality, and manufacturing. Instead of relying on static “leave at 8am” assumptions, users import rotating shifts (or enter them quickly), and the app proposes recurring carpools with fallback options when someone cancels. It emphasizes reliability: verified workplace affiliation, on-time history, and simple cost-splitting. AI is used narrowly for schedule parsing (from screenshots/PDFs) and to predict which matches are most likely to stick based on past behavior, distance, and punctuality. Employers can optionally sponsor “commute groups” to reduce parking demand and improve retention, but the app can work without employer deals. The goal is fewer last-minute scrambles and fewer empty seats for people whose commutes are expensive and unavoidable.
