ShiftPool

ShiftPool is a mobile + web app that helps hourly workers and employers coordinate ride-hailing carpools around real shift schedules. Instead of hoping a random “pool” matches, users join verified workplace groups (or nearby business districts), then the app pairs riders with overlapping start/end times and routes. It pre-negotiates pickup windows, handles cost-splitting, and offers a guaranteed fallback: if a match fails, it automatically books a solo ride at a capped price (funded by employer credits or rider choice). Employers can optionally subsidize rides, reduce late arrivals, and view aggregated reliability metrics without seeing individual trip details. This is not a new ride-hailing network; it sits on top of existing providers via integrations, focusing on the painful edge case incumbents don’t solve well: shift-based commuting where timing and reliability matter more than price alone.
