ShiftProof is a web app (with optional mobile companion) that helps small and mid-sized employers stay compliant with wage-and-hour and scheduling rules by turning messy time, break, and pay data into audit-ready evidence. It connects to existing time clocks/payroll (or imports CSVs), flags likely violations (missed meal/rest breaks, off-the-clock patterns, rounding issues, overtime miscalcs, minor scheduling rule breaches), and generates a simple remediation workflow for managers and HR. It also produces a defensible “compliance packet” for each pay period: policy acknowledgments, exception logs, manager approvals, and change history. This is not a legal advice tool; it’s a documentation and detection layer that reduces preventable penalties and settlement risk. Realistically, it won’t replace counsel or payroll providers, but it can catch issues earlier and make responses faster when complaints or audits happen.
