ShiftRoute

ShiftRoute is a mobile + web route-planning app for people whose departure times and constraints change daily (shift workers, caregivers, field staff). Instead of “fastest route now,” it builds a plan around your time windows, preferred arrival buffer, and predictable friction (school drop-offs, parking time, elevator/walk time, and transit transfer risk). You set rules like “arrive 10 minutes early,” “avoid unprotected left turns,” “no highways at night,” or “minimize walking after 9pm.” The app generates a primary route plus a backup route and sends a proactive switch alert when conditions cross your thresholds. It’s realistic about limitations: it won’t beat Google Maps on raw map coverage, but it can beat it on personal constraints, repeatability, and reliability for routine commutes that aren’t actually routine.
