ShiftShield

ShiftShield is a mobile + desktop app (traditional app with light AI) that helps employees and managers enforce realistic work hours without relying on willpower. It connects to Slack, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, and email to detect when work is spilling into personal time, then applies configurable “friction” like delayed sends, auto-replies, and meeting guardrails. It also produces a weekly Work Creep report showing after-hours messages, meeting overload, and context switching—framed as team-level patterns, not individual shaming. The AI component summarizes the week and suggests specific policy tweaks (e.g., no-meeting blocks, async-first templates, escalation rules) based on observed behavior. The app is brutally pragmatic: it won’t magically fix toxic cultures, but it will make boundary violations visible, measurable, and harder to ignore—especially for distributed teams where overwork is normalized.
