ShiftSim

ShiftSim is a serious role-play game for frontline managers and HR teams to practice high-stakes conversations: performance warnings, schedule conflicts, harassment reports, return-to-work accommodations, and de-escalation. Players choose a scenario, talk to an AI-driven character, and get scored on clarity, empathy, policy alignment, and legal risk. The game format keeps sessions short (5–10 minutes) and repeatable, with levels that unlock harder personalities and constraints (union rules, language barriers, remote teams). Admins can assign modules, track completion, and see aggregate skill gaps without storing sensitive transcripts by default. It’s a web app with optional mobile companion for quick drills. This is not a silver bullet—bad managers won’t magically become great—but it can measurably reduce “I didn’t know what to say” moments and standardize training beyond slide decks.
