ShiftSnooze

ShiftSnooze is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps shift workers and people with irregular schedules build realistic sleep plans that actually fit their week. Instead of generic “sleep 8 hours” advice, it creates a rotating sleep/wake plan based on upcoming shifts, commute time, caffeine cutoffs, and required obligations. It focuses on damage control: protecting core sleep, suggesting strategic naps, and timing light exposure to reduce jet-lag-like symptoms from rotating shifts. The app integrates with Google Calendar/Outlook to read shift blocks, then proposes a simple plan with reminders (wind-down, stop caffeine, nap window, light/dark cues). It also tracks adherence and outcomes (sleep duration, alertness ratings) to adjust recommendations over time. This is a combination traditional + AI app: rules-based scheduling plus AI to personalize nudges and explain tradeoffs in plain language.
