ShiftSplit is a mobile + web app for hourly teams (restaurants, bars, salons, events) to calculate and document wage and tip distribution per shift. Managers enter hours, roles, tip pool rules, and any cash tips; the app outputs each worker’s payout, generates a clear audit trail, and lets staff confirm receipt in-app. It also flags common compliance issues (e.g., tip credit rules, overtime interactions, missing breaks) based on location settings, but it won’t pretend to be a law firm—just a practical early warning system. The goal is to reduce payroll disputes, “missing tips” accusations, and end-of-night chaos. Exports integrate with payroll providers via CSV and basic APIs, because full integrations are expensive and slow. This is a traditional app with a small AI component for anomaly detection and dispute triage summaries.
