ShiftSwapr is a multi-sided marketplace that matches last-minute hourly shift needs with pre-vetted local workers. Employers post urgent shifts (4–12 hours) with clear pay, role requirements, and location; workers claim shifts instantly and get paid quickly after completion. The platform focuses on a narrow wedge: hospitality, retail, and light warehouse roles where no-shows and sudden demand spikes are constant. It includes identity verification, basic skill tags, attendance scoring, and a lightweight time-clock with geofence check-in/out to reduce fraud. This is not a “gig app for everything”—it’s an emergency backfill tool that replaces frantic group texts and expensive temp agencies. Monetization is a per-shift fee (or % take rate) plus optional employer subscriptions for priority matching and compliance reporting. Realistically, the hardest part is supply quality and trust, not the code.
