ShiftTwin

ShiftTwin is a web + desktop app that lets small and mid-sized manufacturers build lightweight “digital twins” of a production cell without hiring a simulation team. Users import a simple layout (CSV/CAD-lite), connect live machine signals via common industrial gateways, and run what-if scenarios: staffing changes, buffer sizes, downtime patterns, and shift schedules. The MVP focuses on pragmatic throughput and bottleneck forecasting rather than photorealistic 3D. It outputs clear KPIs (OEE, cycle time, WIP, predicted backlog) and a short list of recommended changes with confidence ranges. It’s an AI-assisted app: an LLM helps map messy tag names to standardized signals and generates scenario templates, but the core engine is deterministic discrete-event simulation so results are explainable. It’s priced for plants that can’t justify six-figure consulting but still bleed money from avoidable bottlenecks.
