ShoeDial

ShoeDial is a mobile + web app that helps athletes buy the right size and fit for sports shoes and performance apparel across brands. Users answer a short fit profile (foot width, arch, hot spots, sock thickness, sport, preferred snugness) and optionally scan their foot with the phone camera. The app then maps that profile to brand/model-specific recommendations using a continuously updated “fit matrix” built from real purchase outcomes: what people kept vs returned, plus post-wear comfort ratings after 1, 5, and 20 sessions. It also flags common traps (model runs narrow, heel slip issues, toe box short) and suggests alternatives that fit similarly. This is not magic: it won’t replace trying things on, but it can cut down the worst guesswork and reduce return churn for users and partner retailers.
