ShopScribe

ShopScribe is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that lets woodworkers capture job notes, measurements, and progress without touching their phone. You speak: “Project Walnut Table: apron length 28 and 3/8, tenon 1 inch,” and it converts to structured fields, timestamps, and a running build log. It also supports quick photo capture with voice captions, and generates a clean, printable “shop sheet” you can tape to the wall. This is not a magical design tool; it’s a practical documentation and recall system for real shops where hands are dirty, gloves are on, and mistakes are expensive. The app focuses on reliability: offline mode, big buttons, and fast retrieval of the last measurement you said. It won’t replace CAD or cutlist tools; it reduces rework, forgotten dimensions, and scattered notes.
