ShotBuddy is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that helps hunters recover game more reliably after the shot. It guides you through a structured, evidence-based tracking workflow: shot details, animal reaction checklist, last-known location pin, time-to-wait timer, and a step-by-step grid search plan. The app builds a simple “trail map” by letting you log blood sign, tracks, bedding, and direction changes with one-tap markers, photos, and notes—offline first, because cell service is often nonexistent. It also supports team recovery with shared live locations when service returns. This is not magic: it won’t replace experience or a dog. But it can reduce common mistakes (pushing too soon, losing last blood, wandering without a plan) and make recoveries more consistent, especially for newer hunters or stressful situations.
