ShotBudgeter

ShotBudgeter is a web app with a companion mobile app that tracks film costs at the scene/shot level and keeps producers from discovering overruns weeks too late. You import a script breakdown (or CSV from Movie Magic Scheduling) and assign cost drivers per scene: cast day rates, locations, stunts, VFX, special equipment, meals, overtime rules, and company moves. As production progresses, department heads submit quick daily actuals (hours, rentals, purchases) from their phones; the app rolls them up into a live cost-to-complete forecast and flags scenes that are trending over. It’s not trying to replace enterprise accounting—exports go to QuickBooks/Xero and your line producer’s preferred workflow. The value is speed and clarity: a single view of “what each scene is really costing” plus early warnings before you burn the contingency.
