ShowUpCircle is a mobile + web community meetup app focused on reliability, not endless browsing. Hosts create small, time-boxed events (coffee, walks, coworking, board games) with clear caps and a simple agenda. Attendees build a “Show-Up Score” based on verified attendance; repeated no-shows get throttled from RSVPing to popular events. To reduce flakiness, events can require a small refundable deposit (or a “host tip”) that’s returned on check-in. AI helps match people into micro-groups by availability, location, and stated intent (friends, networking, hobby), and suggests low-friction event formats that historically convert. The product is intentionally boring: fewer features, fewer massive groups, more real-world meetups that happen. Monetization is via host tools (paid tiers), optional deposits processing fees, and premium matching for frequent attendees.
