SidePocket is a web app (with optional mobile companion) for small-to-mid asset managers and RIAs to monitor and reduce “cash drag” across accounts. It connects to custodians and portfolio accounting exports, flags persistent idle cash, and proposes compliant sweep actions (e.g., money market funds, T-bills ladders, or approved bank programs) based on each account’s IPS, liquidity needs, and trading cadence. The product is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules enforce constraints and approvals; AI summarizes why cash accumulated, drafts client-facing explanations, and suggests next-best actions without auto-trading. The MVP focuses on visibility, alerts, and workflow rather than execution, because integrations and regulatory risk make full automation expensive. It’s realistic: many firms still run this in spreadsheets, and cash drag is a measurable, embarrassing leak they can’t ignore when yields are high.
