SideQuest is a mobile app (with a lightweight web companion) that turns your friends’ real-world entertainment habits into fast, trustworthy recommendations. Instead of generic algorithms, it focuses on “people you actually know” and the context that matters: who’s free, budget, vibe, distance, and time window. Users create small circles (close friends, coworkers, couples, weekend crew) and post quick recaps of what they did—movie, show, concert, bar, restaurant, museum—plus a simple rating and “go with / don’t go with” tags. The app builds a shared “shortlist” for each circle and can instantly propose 3 options for tonight based on constraints. It’s a combination traditional + AI app: AI summarizes recaps, extracts vibe tags, and ranks options, but the core value is social proof from your network, not a black-box feed.
