SightSnap

SightSnap is a mobile + web AI app that helps musicians improve sight-reading using the music they already have. Users snap a photo (or upload a PDF) of sheet music; the app converts it into clean, playable notation and generates short, progressive exercises based on the same piece (rhythm-only, one-hand, simplified harmony, tricky measures looped). It listens through the device mic or optional MIDI to score timing and pitch, then gives targeted feedback like “rushed syncopation in bar 12” and assigns a 5–10 minute practice plan. The realistic value: it won’t replace a teacher, and OCR will sometimes fail on messy scans, but for students who practice alone it can create structure and measurable progress from any repertoire. Monetization: freemium with limited scans per week; subscription for unlimited imports, advanced analytics, and teacher sharing.
