SignalPause

SignalPause is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that helps couples communicate during conflict without turning it into a blow-up. It’s an AI-assisted app that detects escalating patterns in typed chats and voice notes, then suggests a structured “pause protocol”: a 2-minute cool-down timer, a one-sentence needs statement template, and a short list of clarifying questions. The app doesn’t pretend to be therapy; it’s a lightweight tool for real-time de-escalation and follow-up. After a conversation, it generates a private summary for each partner: what you said you needed, what you agreed to do, and a single next step to revisit later. It also includes opt-in “rules of engagement” (no late-night conflict, no sarcasm flag, time-boxed discussions). The goal is fewer destructive conversations, not perfect communication.
