SignalPaws
SignalPaws is a mobile + web app for search-and-rescue K9 teams that keeps working when cell service collapses. Handlers and team leads get live (or delayed-sync) GPS tracks for dog and handler, quick status check-ins, and a simple incident map that doesn’t require a full command-post setup. The core is offline-first: phones cache topo tiles, record tracks, and exchange updates via Bluetooth mesh between nearby teammates; when any device regains connectivity, it syncs to the web dashboard for unified situational awareness. The app also supports standardized search segment assignments, “last seen point” pinning, and automatic breadcrumb trails to reduce duplicated coverage. This is not a magic AI “find the missing person” tool; it’s a reliability tool that reduces radio chatter, paperwork, and lost time in the field. Hardware support can start with phone GPS and later add optional dog-collar GPS integrations.
