SignalPulse

SignalPulse is a web + mobile AI app for city traffic engineers that detects and prioritizes “bad signal behavior” using existing data sources (signal controller logs, probe speeds, and optional crowdsourced reports). Instead of generic congestion maps, it flags likely root causes: stuck detectors, mis-timed offsets, excessive split failures, or pedestrian phases causing spillback. The app produces a ranked daily worklist by intersection with evidence (before/after speed traces, queue proxy metrics) and a simple recommendation (e.g., retime corridor, check detector channel 3, adjust clearance). It’s designed for agencies that can’t afford expensive enterprise suites or don’t have staff to constantly analyze data. It won’t magically eliminate traffic, but it can reduce recurring bottlenecks and citizen complaints by focusing limited maintenance and timing effort where it actually matters.
