SignalSeat

SignalSeat is a web + mobile app for managing the messy, constant micro-interruptions in modern classrooms (bathroom, help, device off-task, group noise) without turning teachers into full-time enforcers. Students use a simple on-screen “signal” system (Need help, Done, Restroom, Tech issue) tied to their seat/roster. Teachers get a single live board that prioritizes requests, tracks wait time, and logs patterns by student, period, and day. It integrates with Google Classroom/Microsoft Teams rosters and runs on any device, including Chromebooks. The AI layer is optional: it summarizes behavior/request trends and flags emerging issues (e.g., one group repeatedly stuck, a student requesting breaks at the same time daily) without making disciplinary decisions. The goal is fewer verbal interruptions, faster support, and defensible documentation when parents/admin ask for specifics.
