SignalSentry

SignalSentry is a web app + lightweight desktop agent that pinpoints why IoT devices lose connectivity across Wi‑Fi, Ethernet, and cellular. Instead of generic “device offline” alerts, it correlates DHCP/DNS failures, AP roaming issues, packet loss, firewall blocks, and ISP instability into a single incident timeline per device or site. You deploy a small agent on an on‑site gateway (or any always-on PC) to run active tests (DNS, TLS handshake, MQTT/HTTPS reachability) and passive checks (latency/jitter, route changes). The app then generates a plain-English root-cause summary and a shareable report for IT, vendors, or customers. It’s realistic: it won’t magically fix bad networks, but it will drastically shorten time-to-diagnosis and reduce finger-pointing between IT, ISPs, and device vendors.
