SignalSewer

SignalSewer is a web app (with optional mobile dashboards) that helps local public health teams detect and respond to infectious disease spikes earlier by combining wastewater testing results with lightweight, privacy-preserving community symptom check-ins. Labs or utilities upload wastewater measurements (CSV/API), while partner clinics/schools can submit de-identified counts of key syndromes (e.g., GI, respiratory). The app normalizes data, flags statistically significant anomalies, and generates simple, defensible alerts with confidence levels and recommended next steps (e.g., targeted testing pop-ups, communications templates). It also tracks interventions and whether signals drop afterward, so teams can learn what works. This is not a magic “predict pandemics” product; it’s a practical situational-awareness tool that reduces time spent wrangling spreadsheets and arguing about whether a spike is real. Designed for small-to-mid jurisdictions that lack in-house data engineering.
