SignalSnare
SignalSnare is a mobile + web AI-assisted field tool that helps rangers locate illegal radio/phone activity patterns linked to poaching teams. Rangers log sightings, gunshots, snares found, and patrol tracks offline; the system then fuses this with low-cost RF scans (from handheld SDR devices) and optional cell-tower metadata provided by partners to highlight likely staging areas and movement corridors. The app outputs simple, actionable patrol suggestions (where to search, when to rotate routes) rather than academic heatmaps. It’s realistic: it won’t “predict poachers” perfectly, but it can reduce wasted patrol hours and improve odds of intercepting snare lines and camps. The web dashboard is for commanders/NGOs to review trends, assign patrols, and export incident reports for funders and law enforcement.
