SignScout

SignScout is a mobile + web app for auditing wayfinding and signage performance in real buildings. Field staff walk a site and record “decision points” (lobbies, intersections, elevators) with quick photo capture, location tagging, and a simple task: can a first-time visitor reach a destination without asking for help? The app generates a heatmap of confusion spots, missing/contradictory sign messages, and accessibility issues (contrast, height, language coverage). It also outputs a prioritized fix list with estimated impact and a shareable report for facilities, design teams, and vendors. This is not a magic navigation app; it’s an operational tool that makes signage problems measurable and repeatable across sites. It’s designed for hospitals, campuses, airports, malls, and large offices where wayfinding failures create real costs: late appointments, staff interruptions, and poor visitor experience.
