SimchaSeat

SimchaSeat is a mobile + web app that helps families plan Jewish lifecycle events (bris/brisah, baby naming, bar/bat mitzvah, aufruf, wedding, shiva) by solving the most annoying, time-wasting part: invitations, RSVPs, seating, and meal counts across multiple communities. It supports Hebrew/Gregorian dates, synagogue venue constraints, kosher caterer counts, and role-based invites (family, friends, shul, coworkers). Guests can RSVP in one tap via link—no account required—and hosts get real-time headcounts, dietary notes, and printable seating charts. It also includes a simple “ritual checklist” per event type (e.g., who to call, what to bring, timing) curated with denominational options (Orthodox/Conservative/Reform) without pretending to replace a rabbi. It’s not glamorous, but it saves hours and reduces costly catering mistakes.
