SkillPulse

SkillPulse is a web app (with optional LMS plugin) that turns messy course activity into a simple, actionable “skill health” view for instructors and program leads. It ingests events from Canvas/Moodle/Blackboard (assignments, quiz items, rubric criteria, time-on-task proxies) and maps them to a lightweight skills taxonomy you define. The app flags which skills are trending down, which assessments are poorly discriminating (everyone fails or everyone passes), and which content is correlated with improvement. An AI layer summarizes weekly insights and suggests targeted interventions (micro-assignments, review sessions, question bank fixes) but keeps humans in control with transparent evidence links. It’s not another dashboard full of charts; it’s a prioritized to-do list with drill-down proof. Realistically, it succeeds only if it’s fast to set up and shows value within one week of data.
