SkipSense

SkipSense is a mobile + web AI companion that connects to your Spotify account and fixes the most common streaming problem: endless skipping. It watches your real listening behavior (skips, replays, saves, time-of-day, device, and session length) and automatically generates “low-skip” micro-playlists for specific contexts like 20-minute commute, gym warm-up, late-night focus, or weekend cooking. Unlike generic recommendation feeds, it optimizes for momentum: fewer mood whiplashes, fewer track changes, and faster time-to-a-good-run. It also explains why a track was chosen (“you replayed similar tempos at 7–8am”) and lets you ban patterns (no acoustic covers, no live versions, no sad lyrics). Realistically, this won’t beat Spotify’s core recommender, but it can win as a narrow, measurable utility layer focused on skip-reduction and session satisfaction.
