SkyPassage

SkyPassage is a mobile + web app that helps birders, guides, and nature centers time outings to migration hotspots with higher odds of seeing movement. It combines public radar-derived migration intensity layers with local weather, wind direction, and user-reported sightings to produce simple “go/no-go” windows for specific parks or routes. The app focuses on practical decisions: when to leave, where to stand, and what species groups are most likely (raptors vs. songbirds vs. waterfowl). Users can save locations, set quiet alerts for the next high-probability window, and generate a one-page trip brief for groups. This is an AI-assisted app: lightweight models translate messy signals (radar intensity, wind, seasonality, recent reports) into understandable recommendations, but it avoids pretending to predict exact species counts. The goal is fewer wasted dawns and more consistent results for trips and tours.
