SlopeScout

SlopeScout is a mobile + web app that helps non-experts quickly screen landslide susceptibility for a specific property or road segment. Users drop a pin, draw a polygon, and the app returns a simple risk summary using public DEMs, slope/curvature, drainage density, soil/landcover layers, and recent rainfall intensity. It’s not a substitute for a geotechnical report; it’s a triage tool to decide whether you should walk away, budget for a professional study, or prioritize mitigation. The app generates a shareable one-page PDF with map snapshots, key drivers (steepness, proximity to channels, historic slide inventory if available), and an uncertainty rating. An AI assistant explains results in plain language and suggests next steps, but the core output is deterministic and auditable. Monetization targets professionals via subscriptions and pay-per-report for occasional users.
