SlopeScout

SlopeScout is a mobile + web app for homeowners and small landscaping crews to quickly sanity-check grading and drainage plans before spending money on labor and materials. Users walk the property and capture a short LiDAR scan (supported iPhones/iPads) or upload a few photos and basic measurements. The app generates a simple slope map, highlights low spots, suggests where water will likely pool, and flags risky ideas like patios sloping toward the house. It outputs a plain-English checklist and a shareable PDF for a contractor or permitting conversation. This is not a replacement for a civil engineer; it’s a fast “are we about to do something dumb?” tool that reduces rework, callbacks, and water damage. Monetization: subscription for pros, one-time reports for homeowners, and add-on exports (CAD/DWG) for advanced users.
