SlopeSentry

SlopeSentry is a web + mobile app that helps land managers and small engineering firms quickly assess erosion and sedimentation risk on a site without commissioning a full study every time. Users draw a site boundary, mark drainage paths, and log ground cover, slope, and soil type. The app pulls public layers (DEM elevation, rainfall intensity, soil maps) and produces a simple, defensible risk score plus a checklist of mitigation actions (silt fence placement hints, inlet protection, stabilized exits, temporary seeding). It also supports photo-based field logs with timestamps and GPS, generating a shareable report for internal QA, clients, or inspectors. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional GIS/rules drive the core, while AI helps classify ground cover from photos and drafts plain-language notes. It won’t replace professional hydrology models, but it will reduce rework and missed issues.
