SlotSense
SlotSense is a web app (with optional mobile scanning companion) that improves warehouse slotting and pick paths using actual travel traces and pick history, not static assumptions. It ingests WMS exports (orders, picks, locations, item dimensions) and optionally collects picker movement via low-friction signals (barcode scan timestamps, handheld GPS indoors is unreliable, so it focuses on scan sequences and aisle transitions). The app then proposes re-slotting moves and pick-path rules (zone/cluster/batch) with a clear ROI estimate: seconds saved per line, congestion risk, and labor impact. It’s brutally practical: it won’t pretend to “solve” messy master data; it flags missing dimensions, bad location naming, and velocity anomalies before making recommendations. Teams can simulate changes for peak weeks, generate move lists, and track whether savings actually materialized after implementation.
