SmokeProof is a mobile + web app for property managers and safety officers to run verifiable smoke/CO detector and extinguisher inspections without clipboards or questionable logs. Staff scan a QR/NFC tag at each device, the app guides a short checklist, captures time-stamped photo/video evidence, and records a quick sound-level/alert confirmation (where feasible) to reduce “pencil-whipping.” It auto-generates audit-ready reports by building, unit, and device, flags overdue items, and tracks corrective actions with owner assignment and due dates. A lightweight AI layer reads photos to detect obvious issues (missing unit, blocked detector, expired extinguisher gauge/label) and highlights anomalies for review, but keeps humans in charge. This is unglamorous, repetitive work—so the product wins by being faster than paper and more defensible than generic form tools.
