SnackSteps

SnackSteps is a mobile app that generates ultra-short, developmentally appropriate activities for ages 2–5 using common household items (paper, cups, socks). Caregivers pick a goal (speech, fine motor, self-regulation, early math) and the app delivers a 5-minute plan with a simple script, setup photo, and “what to say next” prompts. It also includes a low-friction progress log (no tests) and optional reminders tied to real routines (after breakfast, before bath). The AI component adapts suggestions based on the child’s age, interests, and what materials are actually available, while keeping everything offline-friendly and printable for daycare settings. The app is realistic about attention spans: short, repeatable activities, not long lessons. Monetization is a small subscription for unlimited plans plus a free tier with limited daily activities.
