SnakeSnap is a mobile + web app for reporting snake sightings with location, photo, size estimate, and behavior notes, then pushing hyperlocal alerts to nearby users. It’s not a “guaranteed ID” tool; instead it focuses on practical safety: likely risk level, distance-based notifications, and what to do next (keep distance, secure pets, call licensed removal, etc.). A lightweight AI model can suggest a shortlist of possible species with confidence levels, but the core value is structured reporting and timely alerts, not perfect classification. Local wildlife responders, park staff, and vetted volunteers can optionally verify reports to reduce misinformation. The app also includes seasonal activity trends and a “pet walk” mode that warns when you enter recent hotspot areas. Monetization is freemium: free alerts, paid premium for advanced filters, family accounts, and responder tools.
