SnowMinder

SnowMinder is a mobile app (with an optional web dashboard) that helps skiers and snowboarders track gear condition and prevent costly, trip-ruining failures. Users log skis/boards, bindings, boots, helmets, and avalanche gear, then record days used, storage conditions, wax/tune history, and any impacts. The app uses AI-assisted photo checks to flag obvious issues (edge rust, base gouges, delamination, cracked shells) and generates a simple “service now / monitor / ok” status with recommended actions. It also schedules reminders for binding release checks, beacon battery replacement, helmet replacement timelines, and preseason tune-ups, and can export a checklist for travel days. This is not a magic safety guarantee—just a practical maintenance tracker that reduces forgotten upkeep and helps users catch visible wear early. Monetization: freemium with a paid plan for multiple gear sets, family sharing, and shop integrations.
