SoberShield
SoberShield is a mobile app (with an optional browser extension) that reduces relapse risk by cutting off the most common digital triggers: alcohol/drug delivery, gambling, porn, and specific social feeds or keywords. Users set a “high-risk profile” (times, locations, contacts, apps, websites) and the app enforces friction: app/website blocking, checkout blocking, and a short delay flow that routes to coping tools or a chosen support person. It also includes a simple, non-judgmental daily check-in and a “panic button” that starts a 5-minute protocol (breathing + urge surfing + call/text prompts). This is not therapy and won’t cure addiction; it’s a practical guardrail for people who already want to quit but keep getting derailed by easy access and impulsive moments. The goal is fewer slips, not perfect sobriety.
