SocialPaws
SocialPaws is a mobile app (iOS/Android) that guides new puppy and kitten owners through a realistic, age-appropriate socialization plan with checklists, reminders, and quick logging. Instead of vague advice, it provides a structured “exposure calendar” (sounds, surfaces, handling, people types, other animals, car rides) with safety notes and time-boxed sessions. Owners can record reactions (calm/curious/stressed), add short videos, and get simple next-step adjustments. It also includes a vetted directory of local, low-risk socialization options (trainer-run puppy socials, kitten handling sessions, fear-free clinics) and a “red flag” screen that tells users when to stop and consult a professional. This is not magic: it won’t replace a trainer, and outcomes vary by genetics and environment. But it can prevent the common failure mode—owners doing too little, too late, or doing risky exposures that backfire.
