SodaScan

SodaScan is a mobile app (with optional web dashboard) that lets people quickly scan a soda’s barcode and log what they drank, then automatically tracks caffeine, sugar, sweeteners, and common dietary triggers (e.g., aspartame, sucralose, acesulfame-K, sodium benzoate). The app focuses on practical outcomes: spotting patterns between specific drinks and sleep quality, headaches, reflux, anxiety, or energy crashes. It includes a simple daily check-in (sleep, mood, symptoms) and generates weekly “what’s likely affecting you” summaries. This is an AI-assisted app: the AI helps interpret patterns and explain them in plain language, but it won’t pretend to be a doctor. Brutal truth: the database is the hard part—labels change and regional variants are messy—so the MVP should start with the top 1,000 SKUs and community-submitted label photos with moderation.
