SofaScout is a mobile + web app that helps shoppers confidently buy sofas and sectionals online by turning vague listings into comparable, decision-ready options. Users paste a product link (or upload screenshots), and the app extracts key specs (dimensions, seat depth, firmness cues, materials, return policy) and normalizes them into a standard “sofa spec sheet.” It then asks a few practical questions—room size, doorway width, preferred sitting style (upright vs lounge), pets/kids, budget—and ranks options with clear tradeoffs. A built-in “Fit Check” guides users through measuring doorways, elevators, and stair turns, reducing delivery failures. The app also tracks price history and flags suspiciously low-quality patterns (thin foam density claims, vague fabric composition, weak warranty). It’s not magic: it won’t perfectly predict comfort, but it will dramatically reduce bad purchases caused by missing or misleading info.
