SoilSignal is a mobile + web app that helps landowners, small farms, and environmental consultants interpret soil and shallow geology data without hiring a specialist for every question. Users log a location, upload lab results (or enter field observations like texture, color, drainage, slope), and get a practical report: erosion risk, compaction likelihood, septic suitability red flags, and recommended next steps (e.g., where to sample next, when to call a geotech, what not to build). It pulls in public layers (soil surveys, elevation, rainfall normals) and keeps an auditable record of assumptions so it’s not a black box. It’s not trying to replace engineering sign-off; it’s a decision-support tool that reduces expensive mistakes and wasted sampling. The app includes shareable PDFs for permitting conversations and contractor bids.
