SoilSnapper

SoilSnapper is a mobile + web app that turns cheap, widely available soil tests and simple observations into actionable cultivation plans. Users scan a soil test strip or upload lab results, then answer a short checklist (crop, bed size, irrigation, compost history). The app generates a plain-English soil report (pH, NPK, salinity, organic matter proxy), recommends amendments with exact quantities, and schedules follow-up actions. It also tracks what you applied and correlates it with yields or plant health notes so you can learn what actually worked in your specific soil. This is a combination traditional + AI app: traditional rules for agronomy basics, AI to interpret messy inputs (photos, lab PDFs) and personalize recommendations. It’s built for reality: most gardeners won’t pay for lab tests often, so it supports “good enough” data and focuses on repeatable improvement over perfection.
