Sommelio

Sommelio is a mobile + web AI app that helps fine-dining guests and restaurants pre-plan wine pairings and beverage budgets before the reservation. Diners answer a fast taste quiz (sweetness, tannin tolerance, regions, spend range, dietary constraints), then select the restaurant and menu (tasting or à la carte). The app generates pairing recommendations with price transparency, alternates by budget, and a “talking points” card so guests can confidently discuss choices with the sommelier. Restaurants get a lightweight dashboard to publish current by-the-glass/bottle lists, mark low-stock items, and offer optional pre-approved pairing flights for pre-order. This reduces awkward in-restaurant decision time and prevents sticker shock while still letting the house sommelier make the final call. Realistically, adoption hinges on a small number of high-end venues per city, but those venues can drive high-value repeat usage.
