SondeSense

SondeSense is a web + mobile app for atmospheric scientists, forecasters, and field teams that automatically ingests radiosonde (RAOB) data and turns it into fast, consistent boundary-layer and severe-weather diagnostics. Users upload a BUFR/TEMP file or connect to public feeds, then get clean Skew‑T plots plus a standardized set of derived indices (CAPE/CIN, LCL, shear, PWAT, inversion strength) with clear uncertainty flags when data quality is questionable. The app also lets teams annotate soundings, attach photos/notes from launches, and generate a shareable “briefing card” for operations. This is not a general weather app; it’s a workflow tool that reduces time spent wrangling formats and re-running the same calculations in different scripts. Expect a niche audience, but one that pays for reliability and speed.
