SoundProof is a mobile + web app that creates tamper-evident, court-ready sound reports for noise complaints and compliance checks. Instead of just showing a decibel meter, it records short audio snippets (optional), captures calibrated SPL readings, timestamps, GPS, device model, and environmental notes, then bundles everything into a signed report with a shareable link. It’s designed for property managers, tenants, small venues, and inspectors who need evidence that stands up in disputes. The app guides users through a repeatable measurement protocol (distance, duration, weighting, time of day) and flags readings that are likely invalid due to wind, handling noise, or mic clipping. It won’t magically turn a phone into a lab instrument, but it can produce consistent, defensible documentation when used with a supported external calibrated mic.
