SourceSift
SourceSift is a web app (with a lightweight browser extension) for teams who waste hours hunting for the “one sentence” that proves a claim. You upload or connect document sources (Google Drive, SharePoint, Notion exports, PDFs), and it builds a searchable index focused on evidence-level retrieval: paragraph-precise results, quote-ready snippets, and automatic source metadata (author, date, doc section, link). Unlike generic enterprise search, it’s optimized for writing tasks where you must cite and defend statements—policy, compliance, research, proposals, customer support macros. It also flags weak evidence: outdated docs, conflicting passages across sources, or missing primary references. The AI layer is optional and constrained: it can summarize a result set, but every output is anchored to clickable citations and highlights. Realistically, the product wins only if it’s fast, trustworthy, and easy to deploy without a six-month rollout.
